Chaos...
For the last week I have spent it with my nose in the books preparing for final week. Dead week is always an interesting one at IU. Streets are empty, Rooms are quiet, and the Library is packed. You see a rush of kids attempt to learn what they have put off all semester hoping to pull of decent grades and pass their classes. Luckily, I was one of the lucky few who studied hard early and got my test out of the way early in the week and now am enjoying home sweet home with no distractions. In a week i leave again for Georgia, This should be a well needed vacation. Considering its been too long since i've seen my family and a longer time since i have had time to simply sit back and relax. There is one downside to taking this vacation... i am going to be away from friends and a boyfriend that i love on my birthday. In the long run it's not a big deal, and i am still surrounded with family. My sister turns 21 in January, this is a big deal. My little sister( who is in reality older then me) is all grown up!! i have always convinced myself we are right there next to each other in age and now shes turning the all anticipated 21 while i still feel like i am playing in a sandbox with pigtails in my hair...! January 5th i will return for school not for classes, but for rush. Formally known as recruitment. I will go through hell for a week with more interviews and judgemental looks then many will experience in one year. Although i am reallylooking forward to it and anticipate the new friends, and involvement with the school, I dread this last week of rush. So that is my winter break in a nut shell. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year !... <3

Friendships...
Friendships come in all different types of people and all different forms. Some people are best friends that you wouldnt trade for a life time and some are nice to hold conversations with but you wouldnt trust them with your secrets. I have been lucky enough to be blessed with all types of friends in what some would say the most random places. The smallest smile or a simple friendly hello will open up more doors and friendships then you could ever imagine with people you could never dream of. Too many times sterotypes such as first appearances or "hear say" about people tends to hinder us from talking to certain people.
"It's hard i know; but sometimes it is better to have no friends for a times then to have the wrong friends. The wrong group can lead you down all kinds of paths you really dont want to be on. And retracing your steps can be a long journey." - Sean Covey
Too often we jump at the idea of having as many friends as we can and the feeling of acceptance when really if we jsut give it a little time God will provide us with friends that will help us grow in ways we didnt know possible. If we keep our eyes open and our hearts filled with love we will make sure not to miss the endless opportunities of new friendships in our future!!!

Sweet Nothings
This morning my boyfriend was sweet enough to wake me up offering to drive me to my first class which is across campus!! and when i got in the car i was told to look in the glove compartment, to my surprise i found my favorite bags of candy and a sweet card with an even sweeter note. In case he reads this i want him to know that he is the best!! thank you so much for brightening my day up!!!
IU Basketball
This will be short and sweet because i need to run to class but... last night i attended one of the first IU basketball games and I think our team needs to do something about improving our winning redcord. Given that Bobby Knight gave IU a bad name for all situations he had... he brought IU a lot of championships. Also, I don't know the ability of Davis yet and i havent decided if he will serve IU well.. looking at the numbers i am impatient and really do want a winning ... amazing season this year. Recently our entire Football staff got fired becuase we have only won eight games in three years. I know that Basketball is not that extreme but should we wait until we do have a problem or should we try to fix things now? I am looking forward to this season, given that IU basketball games are an experience in thereselves. Being able to see the entire school come together and go wild is worth it, I just wish we would win once in awhile... its only the beginning of the season though so I will give it time!!

It Has To Begin Somewhere....
Considering the fact that my best bet is only one person is reading this... ( Hi Joanna) it will still be nice to get my thoughts out from the day. During a speech today i heard they were regarding the topic of sperm donation and whether or not it should be allowed. She raised inportant points in that although it helps couples who are unable to have babies it creates away for any college kid looking to make money to contribute his sperm. Considering that men who decide to donate sperm are mainly looking for compensation, i wonder if we changed the way things were done and a "donation" of sperm meant just that, something given free of expectations in return. If this system was changed is it possible that we could eliminate men going into donations with the wrong attitude of why they are doing it. By donating this sperm they are giving a part of themselves and putting it inside another person. I believe in some cases donating sperm is completly 100 percent acceptable for instance, if a husband went off to war and it was questionable if they would return or not i could understand him donating his sperm so his wife could later on have a kid in the case of his death. Well this was a short entry but just something earlier that got me thinking. Have a great day and god bless!!!
